HTP Industries, Inc. manufactures the basic bushing (also called billet) which is a rod or cylinder made from various blends of PTFE. Our customers use these bushings to manufacture a wide variety of products. Many of our customers use our bushings to make products for use in oil/gas industry applications but they are also used in a variety of other industries such as commercial water processing, pulp/paper processing, mining, steel, chemical processing, general manufacturing and more.

The most popular application is the manufacture of parts such as rider rings/bands, piston rings, rod pressure packing and scraper packing rings that are used in reciprocating compressors. Reciprocating compressors are commonly used to move natural gas or supply high pressure gas for oil well drilling purposes. Parts such as these may be used in the field at the source of the oil/gas well, they may be used downhole or at the oil/gas processing plants.
