Use of fillers with PTFE

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a solid fluoropolymer used in a wide variety of applications across many industries such as aerospace, automotive, chemical processing, electrical insulation, semi-conductors, food/beverage, pharmaceutical industries, and in the oil/gas industry. Our customers transform our bushings into finished parts which could include: gaskets, seals, spaces, sleeves, rings, packing and more. Typical end uses for our products include industrial equipment such as compressors, pumps and oil/gas down-hole uses.

PTFE bushings are generally sold either “virgin” as 100% PTFE or include one or more of several common fillers at various percentages.

Additional fillers and colors are available on request. Colors are sometimes added for identification, branding, or other purposes and do not alter the material properties of PTFE. Please note that requesting different colors will require additional lead times and may include additional cost for orders.
