Molybdenum Disulfide (Moly) Properties

  • Increases hardness
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Minimal effect on electrical or chemical properties

Molybdenum Disulfide is most frequently called "moly" when referring to it as a filler in PTFE applications, but can also be referred to by the chemical abbreviation MoSi2.

These are considered typical properties and are not meant to replace engineering knowledge in determining the basis for specifications or quality control.
